Rationalizing Inventory by Implementation of Supply Chain Strategies

Developed & implemented the company’s Production, Supply & Stock strategies with the aim of customer service level, generating savings, controlling cost within budgetary limits, rationalizing inventory & maximizing available working capital.

Developing planning strategies by implementing RCCP (Rough cut capacity planning) and long-term planning for 18 months of Forecast and procurement planning of Raw Materials, Packing (Rs. 13 Million).

Improving Sales forecast accuracy & Production planning

By adoption of robust S&OP methodologies, improve Sales forecast accuracy from 74% to 91%.

Improve Production planning accuracy from 78% to 93%. This substantial increase not only optimized their inventory and production planning but also resulted in a noticeable improvement in customer satisfaction rates.

Improving efficiency in waiting time & Reduction in Logistics, Inventory & Warehouse Costs by Lean Tools

Lean Supply Chain by Reducing Lead Time of Procurement Process of Inventory

Lead time has a direct impact on the carrying cost of inventory. Data for the last 14 months have been analyzed through Minitab, Excel & dashboard. Identify value-added and non-value-added activities in P2P Cycle and change current practices and significantly improve delivery time by reducing Lead time (from 45 days to 15 days), reducing stockouts, increasing inventory turnover & improving working capital.

Lean Manufacturing & Cost Saving Initiatives

Identify wastages of process & provide best solution to increase production efficiency by reducing wastage and save Rs. 40 Million/ year.

Increasing production by an optimum reduction in material wastage. Data is analyzed with reasons/types of wastages. Segregated into Controllable and Uncontrollable, with strict compliance, a 7% increase in production was observed.

Implementation of Overall Equipment Efficiency model (OEE) on different production lines to analyze OEE percentage & save time of preventive and corrective maintenance by improving OEE from 73% to 92%.

Enhance CRM by Quality Improvements of Finished Products

Identifying the root cause analysis, Why Why analysis, Data Gathering techniques, Fishbone, SIPOC diagram, Statistical analysis by DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control phases) of Lean Six Sigma and improving 1st pass of Finished Goods from 34% to 88% approximately.

5 S & Visual Management Program Training & Implementation in Inventory Stores, Warehouses, Maintenance workshops, Offices & Production plants

Trained the staff and achieved the goals in just 5 months of 5S Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardized  & Sustain, save 53% of space and enable the team to find records/materials within 30 seconds. Enhance the productivity of employees by 21% after changing layouts, receiving, storing, and issuing procedures.

Energy Conservation

Evaluating consumption of electricity, especially in lights, suggests alternative and converting current practices into new ideas. Save energy at different production plants, Offices and Warehouses with alternate supplies and save Rs. 47 Million/Year and help to reduce carbon footprint.

Optimization of Supply Chain Cost by Reducing Investment & Carrying Costs

By reviewing slow-moving & dead items, reduce financial burden 19% of Inventories in the current year and save interest, taxes, insurance paid on inventory and reduce warehouse space, time & personnel as well.

To avoid excess inventory and save all related costs (storage, carrying, handling

cost etc.) by less use of the company’s capital, developed and implemented Semi VMI (Vendor managed inventory) and procurement planning programs to purchase Raw & Packing materials of an amounting to Rs. 343 Million/Month.
